Messy Pancakes and Lent February 2021

This month we are using a fabulous Lent video produced by St Leonard’s Church!

Follow the video to hear about pancakes and Lent and join in with games, craft and pancake making.

It’s on YouTube so you can pause it as you go along. I would suggest you gather the things you will need beforehand or, watch it all then make the things you want to make.

Lent is a time of preparation for Easter.

It is a time to turn from what you have been doing (or not doing), say sorry and do something different. Some people like to give something up. You might want to do that but things are hard at the moment. I wonder if you would like to take something up?

The box of kindness is one idea but there are some other resources to look at. You could ‘love yourself’ through Lent, reminding yourself that you are special and that God loves you. You could do some Muddy church challenges or even the 40 bags of Lent!

I’d like to encourage you to make this Lent a special time to get ready for the Good News and Hope of Easter but first of all, enjoy your pancakes! Nicky x

Thank you for joining us for Messy Church @home. We’d love to see some of your creations and hear your comments so please share them with us. You can email me, Nicky, at smg.children@gmail.com or upload them as a comment on the Messy Church @StMark’s Facebook page.

If you missed previous Messy Church sessions you can still join in here:

We hope that you have enjoyed this month’s Messy Pancakes and Lent Messy Church @home. Of course this does not replace being able to meet together and we look forward to the time when we can be Messy Church together again.

Sending love and prayers to everyone,

Nicky and the St Mark’s Messy Church Team x
