Funerals and memorials

The loss of a family member or friend is a very sad and difficult time in anyone's life, and it often helps to find support from the church. Funerals can be held in church and a local crematorium or cemetery, or just in the crematorium or at the cemetery. Your funeral director will contact one of the Ministry Team at St Mark's to arrange for them to conduct the funeral for you, and then the minister will contact you to discuss the service that will be for you to say goodbye to your loved one in the most meaningful way possible.

Care for the Family is an organisation of people who give support in many areas, especially bereavement.

If you have a loved one’s ashes interred in the church garden and like to place flowers there on special occasions, we have two dedicated areas with vases and surrounded by stone chippings on either side of the stone buttress. We hope you find them helpful in times of remembrance.
